- Parathode Grama Panchayat is located in the eastern hilly region of Kottayam district. The boundaries of the panchayat include Poonjar, Poonjar Thekkekkara on the north, Koottikkal, Peruvanthanam, Mundakkayam on the east, Erumeli, Kanjirapally, Chirakkadavu on the south, and Elikkulam, Manimala, and Kokkayar on the west.
